Follow this guide carefully when cleaning for your final inspection

Bathroom & Laundry

  • Toilet: disinfect internal and external toilet bowl and under seat and lid. Ensure toilet brush is disinfected, or replaced if necessary
  • Shower/bath: recess to be scrubbed. All soap scum & mildew to be removed from shower lamp; screens.
  • Shower: curtain to be replaced.

Kitchen

  • Stove: needs to be pulled out and cleaned behind, (where possible), grill, oven and all trays to be cleaned.
  • Fridge: needs to be pulled out and cleaned behind, (where applicable). Needs to be defrosted and all trays and baskets to be thoroughly cleaned. Doors to be left open

Inside your rental

  • Air conditioner: filters and casings to be cleaned.
  • Blinds and/or curtains: to be dry cleaned or washed – as per care instructions. If curtains are backed they will need to be professionally cleaned to avoid damage to the backing. Re-hang.
  • Windows: window sills and window tracks to be cleaned – all insects from window tracks to be removed.
  • Flyscreens and security screens: to be cleaned.
  • All cobwebs: to be removed, particularly from cornices.
  • All power points, fan and light switches: to be wiped over.
  • All walls: to be washed down and marks removed. We recommend using sugar soap.
  • All skirting boards: to be cleaned.
  • Cupboard doors, handles and shelves: to be cleaned, including the tops of cupboards.
  • All light covers: to be cleaned and all ensure all bulbs and tubes are working – replace covers.
  • Exhaust lamp; ceiling fans: to be cleaned, including tops of fan blades.
  • All floors: to be swept and mopped.
  • Carpets: to be professionally steam cleaned and receipt provided.
  • Lawns: to be mowed, edges trimmed and garden beds weeded.
  • All rubbish: to be removed from property.
  • All palm fronds etc: to be removed.
  • Property (inside and out): to be sprayed for fleas and ticks (if applicable) and receipt provided.
  • Driveways, carports and all concrete areas: to be free of oil/grease stains. Pressure wash if necessary.
  • Wheelie bins: to be emptied and disinfected.
  • All items on inventory: to be accounted for and left in clean condition (ie: vacuum cleaner emptied).
  • Any furniture and upholstery: to be steam cleaned and receipt provided.
  • Clothes dryer filter: to be cleaned.
  • All keys/remotes: to be returned.
  • Any linen needs: to be washed.
  • Any mattress protectors: replaced.
  • Any excessive (beyond fair wear and tear), chips / marks to walls: must be rectified.

Outside your rentals

  • Pool: to be cleaned and chemically balanced, and receipt provided (where applicable).
  • Lawns: to be mowed, edges trimmed and garden beds weeded.
  • All rubbish: to be removed from property.
  • All palm fronds etc: to be removed.
  • Property (inside and out): to be sprayed for fleas and ticks (if applicable) and receipt provided.
  • Driveways, carports and all concrete areas: to be free of oil/grease stains. Pressure wash if necessary.
  • Wheelie bins: to be emptied and disinfected.
